The A-123-2 is an analog high-pass filter with four outputs for slopes ranging from -6 dB to -24 dB per octave. It is based on the special IC CEM3320/AS3320 and delivers both clean and distorted sounds. Cutoff frequency and resonance are voltage controllable
The A-123-2 from Doepfer is a versatile and good sounding high-pass filter. The module is based on the special IC CEM3320/AS3320.
It features four different slope outputs:
- 6dB
- 12dB
- 18dB
- 24dB
The sound of this filter is very clean. However, if the input is overdriven, a hard high-pass filtering may occur. So it offers different flavors depending on the application.
The cut-off frequency can be controlled manually and by means of control voltage. There are two CV inputs, one of which is equipped with an attenuator.
The resonance (Q) is also manual and CV-controllable, which allows for interesting sound experiments.
