Dato is back with yet another playful invention. This time it's a circular drum machine with 4 voices and an 8-step sequencer laid out in concentric rings around the panel — patterns are visible at a glance, accessible from any side. The round layout isn't just an aesthetic gimmick; instead, it's built for gathering your friends around. Two, three, or four people can reach in, tweak voices, add rolls, and drop in effects. There's no "front panel," no wrong seat at the table.
Each voice carries swappable samples with dedicated pitch control and retrigger functionality, which handles ratchets and fills, while its effects let you shape things in real time as the sequence runs. There's MIDI and analog sync in/out for hooking into a wider setup, and you can load your own samples as well as record your own via USB. You can listen back to it through its Internal speaker or via headphones. This device is chunky, colorful, and quite curious-looking. Pass it around or gather your crowd around it — nice for friendly jam sessions!
