The DS01 is a classic Dub Siren with all parameters you’ll need for your Dub music adventures (add a delay)!
A Dub Siren is a simple yet powerful machine to add effect sounds to dub riddims, or any other music you like. With a carefully selected choice of controls, the DS01 is all you need to create these wonderful old school sounds – you can’t do anything wrong. Maybe that’s the appeal of these machines, ease of use and so much fun to play with!
The DS01 has got a trigger button to switch the audio on or off. It can be pressed lightly for momentary trigger, or until it clicks, for continuous sound. MODE selects 4 preset dub siren tones (Sine1, Sine2, Test tone, and Square wave), while TUNE switches between 3 preset frequencies for the audio oscillator. To create variations in sound you use the MODULATION section. It sets the pitch modulation speed that is created by an internal LFO. The fourth position of the select switch (manual) stops the LFO, and makes the siren pitch controlled by manual modulations switches, that trigger an envelope generator. At the end, the sound is output via an unbalanced MONO jack, which is best connected to a delay of your choice - either directly, or via an AUX path of your mixer.
