Oneiroi POD
Drones all the way, now on the go! The Befaco Oneiroi POD, created in collaboration with 4ms, bundles the unique Oneiroi Eurorack synthesizer module with a custom-designed, powered 42HP Eurorack case. This pack provides everything you need to start exploring dreamy ambient textures and beyond, wherever inspiration strikes.
The truly special composition of the Oneiroi's individual functions makes it a master of drones, spheres, and textures. Of course, there is so much more possible, because we are talking about Eurorack! This completely digital synthesizer voice provides some great building blocks to create sounds from scratch, featuring a sine, supersaw (JP8000), and wavetable oscillator (32 wavetables) for sound generation. It's also possible to feed external stereo signals through the module and record sounds on the internal looper. This looper is a refreshing sight (and essential tool) and lets you record, modify, and play back external sounds or sounds generated within the module. There is a separate VCA for each of these audio sources, with Supersaw and Wavetable sharing a VCA.
The second half of the Oneiroi module is all about shaping and refining the generated sounds. This section contains four effects: a filter (switchable between 2-pole multimode and comb), a 3-band resonator, a stereo delay (10ms to 4s) with a DJ filter, and a reverb (Schroeder Reverberator) with a macro pot and panner. The selected effects all have a few special features that make up the distinctive sound of Oneiroi. The module also has built-in modulations, including Chaos, Sample & Hold, envelope follower, and an LFO (sine, ramp, sawtooth, pulse), which can bring gentle or very intense movements to your sounds. A randomizer adds further sonic possibilities.
The custom 42HP black aluminum case, designed in collaboration with 4ms, provides a lightweight (366g) and portable home for your Oneiroi. With a depth of only 40mm, the Oneiroi POD is genuinely portable, making it easier to integrate with pedals, desktop synths, or your existing modular system. The built-in power supply features four Eurorack headers, capable of running the Oneiroi plus a few additional modules. Dual barrel jacks allow for daisy-chaining with other 4ms Pods for future expansion.
The Oneiroi POD transforms the Oneiroi from a static rack module into something you can easily pick up and bring along to a jam session, or just move from your desk over to the couch when inspiration strikes. Perhaps a small but still meaningful change that can make a big difference in how and when we actually use our instruments.
