ADDAC120F Strings Frame — Dedicated Powered Eurorack Frame for the ADDAC120 Four Strings Series
The ADDAC120F is a purpose-built Eurorack frame for ADDAC's Four Strings Series, providing a stable platform for the physical strings and the modules that interact with them. Its long, narrow construction accommodates the Headstock & Bridge assembly, pickups and mechanical exciters, with room to experiment with different module arrangements along the strings.
At approximately 67 cm long, it's a self-contained alternative to building the instrument into an existing rack. The frame includes a power supply and busboards with 19 module connections, as well as +5 V support. Electrical protection against overcurrent, overheating and voltage irregularities is also built in. A thoughtfully designed home for an instrument that's rather different from the usual rows of Eurorack modules.
Features:
- Dedicated powered Eurorack frame for the ADDAC120 Four Strings Series
- Eurorack-compatible module mounting (122 HP)
- Approx. 67 cm long
- Integrated ±12 V power distribution
- Busboards with 19 module connectors
- +5 V available from the busboards
- Power supply protection against overcurrent, overheating and voltage faults
- String hardware and other modules sold separately
About the ADDAC 120-Series
The 120-Series brings real vibrating strings into Eurorack, crossing the worlds of modular synthesis and electro-acoustic instruments. Its four strings form a customizable instrument somewhere between a lap steel guitar, a zither and an automated string machine. The headstock and bridge form the foundation, while additional modules capture the sound, mechanically pluck or mute the strings, excite them magnetically, add frets or even turn the strings into a physical audio resonator. Combined with Eurorack sequencing, CV and effects, you can build anything from a manually played instrument to a fully automated string setup.
