No! You do not have double vision! Gemini is (sort of) UDO's Super6 times two... and more!
George and his team did it again. The new flagship of UDO Audio is a powerful synthesizer that offers a lot of possibilities for expressive playing. The sound generation is inspired by the great analog classics and with 20 voices, which can be combined into 10 binaural voices, capable of creating immense soundscapes.
The highlight of the instrument is that you have direct access to two sounds! There are two separate, identically constructed signal strings, each with its own controls. You can play these two sounds together, split, layer, play one through the arpeggiator and play the second separately, etc. - you can surely think of more ways to use this feature creatively.
The oscillators are based on state-of-the-art FPGA architecture, equipped with a wealth of extensive sonic features such as wave morphing, cross and ring modulation, bidirectional synchronization and much more. Further down the line, the oscillator signal is processed by a purely analog signal path. Here we find a saturation stage, highpass and lowpass filters, VCAs and for modulation of course (loopable) envelopes and LFOs. Of course, the Super Gemini also has effects on board. A chorus and a delay help to give the instrument even more depth and richness of expression.
What we already know from the Super 6 is the aforementioned arpeggiator and sequencer. What is new, however, is the large ribbon controller that opens up a new dimension of expressiveness.
With such a complex instrument, you naturally want to be able to save your creations. For this purpose, 256 performance and patch slots, as well as 16 slots for sequences are available.
All these facts are great. But you should definitely listen to the Super Gemini (preferably play it yourself!) to be convinced of its quality and the sophisticated user interface. Go, hit the keys!

UDO was founded by Synth-designer George Hearn in 2018. Based in Bristol (UK) the company landed a big one with their exceptional Super 6 synth and continued to fascinate synth nerds with its successor, the Super Gemini.
