SHIK's N32B Slim is a sturdy controller with 32 high-resolution knobs that comes in a laptop-bag-friendly form factor. What makes it different from your usual “run-of-the-mill” controller is the granular fine detail of its knobs. They each come with 4095 steps of resolution — a massive leap beyond the standard 127 steps that most controllers offer. This translates to super smooth automation curves and the kind of precise control that makes the difference between acceptable and excellent.
Not only that, but each knob is also capable of controlling up to four different parameters simultaneously through its macro system. All the configuration happens through a straightforward web editor that lets you assign any MIDI message type, set custom ranges, and route outputs without the usual menu-diving nightmare.
Built with a sturdy metal frame and measuring just 20.8 x 13.5cm, the N32B Slim should slide into most bags without any fuss.
