DD VCF is the further development of the popular 2180VCF which owes its name to the THAT2180 IC on which the filter is based. Instead of the 2180, a discrete blacksea circuit is used here, in a dual configuration that can be connected either in parallel or in series. Both filters are independently switchable as LP, HP or BP and have their own CV inputs for frequency modulation in addition to the common 1v/Oct input. On the input side there is a drive circuit which can increase the input level or distort the input signal. The sound characteristic is very soft which makes the module very guit as a back-end filter. As usual for L-1, the module has a board-protecting aluminum back plate and is built from only high-quality components.
