VDR-1 is an analog drum synth with self-oscillating filter and enormous sweep. The small box is excited by striking the case (internal piezo element) or by connecting a trigger signal or an external piezo element.
The oscillator has a wide range and can be switched between triangle and sawtooth output. The oscillator is tuned by the coarse and fine controls. Sweep should be carefully balanced with cutoff to achieve the desired sound. Sustain controls both attack and decay time. Sensitivity determines the threshold for the trigger input. LFO F controls the modulation depth of the LFO on the filter. LFO O controls the modulation depth of the LFO to the oscillator. All JMT- products come with a suitable 9V power supply and can also be powered by a 9V battery.
