Die Mutant BD9 will kein Ersatz für die (weitergebaute) Mutant Bassdrum sein, sondern ein eher 909-esques Pendant sein, das andere Klänge liefert.

Powerful dual HiHat generator. The open and closed hihats that can be produced by the module are fed by the same sound source, a metallic noise, but function independentely. Instead of the internal sound source you can use the eternal input to use other sounds.

Like all of Hexinverter's Mutant Drums also the Mutant Snare is a well-equipped and complex drum voice. It is entirely analog and based on the 808's snare drum but has been extended, be it by voltage control of some parameters, overdrive, a filter with different characteristics and an audio input for replacing the snappy noise by other sounds.
In short words: it produces various sounds, from classic analog snares to weird and extreme alien percussion.

Like all modules in the "Mutant Drums" series also the bassdrum takes a reverend circuitry and mutates it. In this case it is an 808 BD expanded by a pitch parameter, voltage control of pitch and decay as well as a proper voltage controleld distortion you can use independently for other sounds like a synth lead. Generally the Mutant Drums modules use better components than the inspiring circuits did.

909 and more – The Mutant Rimshot utilizes three oscillators to generate sound. Its circuit design is inspired by the correspondent drum voice of Roland’s TR-909. However, the sonic potential goes far beyond the classic. In detail, there are two rimshot types plus a clave mode. For processing the emerging drums, a multimode filter was implemented. High resonance values make the module self-oscillate, allowing the user to create zap sounds and such. By adjusting the Mutant Rimshot’s drive section, signals can be leveled as well as distorted. An amplifier, a decay envelope, CV connectors and an audio input for the filter complete the module.

The modular hot-melt gun is a four-channel bus mixer with a number of different outputs, FX-Send as well as a soft-knee compressor in studio quality and a voltage controlled analog distortion. Both distortion and compressor ar normalized to the mixer but can be used individually.

The Mutant Machine is the Phil Collins of all the drum modules because it can play a whole drum kit. Okay, all jokes aside: the module is not limited to generate one special type of electro drum but due to it's rich sound engine and the vast numebr of functions it can create almost any type of drum voice, from bass drums to toms, snares, claps, cow bells, what ever you like. Because of several individual outputs you can use it for drones and noise, too.

Hexinverters VCNO is an innovative noise oscillator and random gate generator. The module utilizes a Linear Feedback Shift Register (LFSR) to produce sound. Its results range from white noise to digital sounding swooshes and crackles, which are reminiscent of old video game consoles. – And yet, the VCNO is completely made of discrete analog hardware.
For processing signals, the module offers several additional circuits. All in all, four colors of noise plus coincidentally occurring gate signals can be tapped off. - A very versatile sound source, which is perfectly suited for creating drum sounds as well as atmospheric special effects.

Mutant Brain is a universally reconfigurable MIDI CV interface. Besides monophonic patches, you can also control polyphonic synthesizer voices or multi-channel drum setups with this module. Clock signals and transport commands may be transferred to the analog world as well. In detail, the module offers four CV and twelve gate / trigger outputs. The performance is excellent. A web-based editor makes configuring the Mutant Brain very easy.
