The Scope add-on kit from mki x es.EDU - turns your Labor into an electronics development station
Erica Synths and Moritz Klein have developed a series of educational DIY kits under the brand name mki x es.EDU with one specific goal in mind: to teach people with little-to-no prior experience how to design analog synthesizer circuits from scratch. What you'll find in the box is not simply meant to be soldered together and then disappear in your rack. Instead, they want to take you through the circuit design process step by step, explaining every choice they've made and how it impacts the finished module.
The EDU DIY Labor Scope add-on transforms your Labor platform into an electronics development and experimentation station. This useful addition features a 3-channel oscilloscope with two dedicated channel inputs plus a third channel hard-wired to the Labor's audio output, great for visualizing waveforms and analyzing circuit behavior in real-time. The OLED screen not only displays waveforms, but also has display modes for Lissajous curves, spectral analysis, tuning information, and a voltmeter that offers a 10V range with 0.1V accuracy for circuit measurements. Navigation through the different modes is handled by a rotary encoder with LED status indicators. Finally, there's a USB connector for firmware updates and extended functionality access.
Important: This Labor Scope add-on is designed specifically for the Labor platform only - using it with other equipment or making modifications could permanently damage the device.
Please note: The do-it-yourself kit includes all the parts necessary to build this module. This is a beginner's kit; you need very little prior experience and basic hand tools (small screwdriver, soldering iron, etc.). We cannot assist with assembling/soldering the kit and take no responsibility if the kit does not work after self-assembly.
