Arturia - Microfreak
- Order number: 190040
The MicroFreak is a versatile hybrid synthesizer with a capacitive keyboard, digital oscillators and an analog SEM-based multimode filter.
The sound engine offers 21 digital oscillator modes, wavetable to sample playback & granular processing, as well as vocoder mode. The digital oscillators are based on the extremely popular algorithms from Mutable Instruments and Noise Engineering. So you get very versatile and proven sounds that can be played paraphonically with up to four voices.
Due to the OLED display, modulation matrix and a multitude of knobs and switches, working with the Microfreak is very intuitive and fast. The arpeggiator and sequencer invite you to play even more!
In addition to the oscillators, the 25-key keyboard is another special feature of the Microfreak. The capacitive keys respond not only to velocity, but also to polyphonic aftertouch, which enables exceptional expressiveness when playing. An additional capacitive contact strip expands the possibilities for creative control of parameters in real time. This is not necessarily to be expected from a synthesizer in this price range.
Thanks to its extensive connection options, the MicroFreak can be seamlessly combined with your modular system. In addition to the classic audio and MIDI connections, it also offers CV/gate inputs and outputs.
Overall, the Microfreak offers a lot of sonic possibilities. Even if you will probably never fully utilize them, you can still use your Microfreak as an expressive controller for other sound generators if you so desire. So you'll always find a job for the Microfreak in your studio.
