Beatstep Pro
The Arturia Beatstep Pro is a tool designed with performance in mind!
It features two monophonic step sequencers. Each sequence can have up to 64 steps, with note, velocity and gate time settings per step, including note tie. The pattern can be recorded in real time using the pads or an external keyboard. There is also a step mode for programming the notes thanks to the knobs and step buttons.
Furthermore, the Beatstep Pro can deliver 16-track drum sequences, with one track per pad. The steps can be recorded in real time with the pads or programmed like like on a classic drum machine. The knobs, step buttons, velocity and pressure sensitive pads are fully customizable. The drum sequencer mode can send drum gates alongside MIDI CC, note data and program changes.
Each sequence can have an independent swing amount.
In total the Beatstep Pro can save up to 16 projects in the internal memory, each with 16X2 sequences, 16 drum sequences and a controller map.
Thanks to a clock input and output, the Beatstep Pro can sync to an external clock or serve as master clock for your modular system and MIDI equipment. Additionally there is a Tap Tempo function allowing to sync manually and follow the tempo from other musicians.
The MIDI Control Center (MCC) enables full parameter and sequencing editing capability from the computer.
