Syntonie - Solaire

Quad Full Wave Rectifier and Triple 2:1 Mixer. That's Solaire by Syntonie, a classy utility module for videosynthesis.
In theory, a full-wave rectifier reverses the negative part of the phase. What does this mean? For example, if we have a triangular waveform, the rectifier would invert all the downward-going triangles to the upper phase. In practice, this effectively doubles its frequency. However, on complex waveforms, Solaire creates a solarization effect, transforming the brightest spots into the darkest, giving it a somewhat metallic aura.
The module includes four rectifiers and three 2:1 mixers for combining two signals or summing a signal with an LFO signal to modulate the offset. These mixers function in average, addition, or subtraction modes for your signals. The architecture of Solaire's rectifiers and mixers is normalized. They can be used individually hugely expanding the flexibility. At every stage you can insert a signal and break the normalization, be it for generating intricate forms and hues or for slow, gradual modulation.
Syntone Solaire is what you need to demonstrate to your elderly relatives how LSD works.
