Syntonie - Seuils

Seuils means border or threshold. This is of course quite a fitting name: This module by Syntonie is a triple Saw Animator (not only for Saws!) with comparator and logic processor for your video-system.
Syntonie Seuils is a Saw-Animator circuit with separate outputs for its comparators. On top, the “result” of the comparators can be combined with logic operators: AND (Section A), OR (Section B), and XOR (Section C). With the flick of a switch you can decide whether you obtain the “direct” Comparator signal or if you want to logically combine the first two section or all three of them. Albeit being called a “Saw”-Animator circuit, you can throw any form and shape into Seuils.
The high-speed comparators generate pulses at the Logic outs and use these to offset part of the input signal which is then routed to the Shift outputs. The Shift knob, with available CV modulation, determines the pulse's length and offsets the input signal – meaning that Shift has an effect on the Logic outs as well as the Shift outs. The CV inputs add to the Shift value and can hence be used to introduce additional shapes to your visuals. While the Logic out gives you on/off pulses, more complex “shifted” signals are available at the Shift out..
It is important to note that when your input signal falls outside the range of the comparators' thresholds, they can be adjusted using a set of jumpers located at the back of the module.
The choice of three sections is ideal modulating and influencing the R, G and B part of an RGB signal separately, resulting in stunning psychedelic effects.
