The Delta Cep A is a versatile paraphonic hybrid synthesizer with immense punch. Available as desktop or modular version.
Module version
The following improvements have been added in version 2:
- Controllers send MIDI CCs
- Device receives parameter changes from controllers
- modulation connections are now possible without patch cables
- easy to program step sequencer is now integrated
- new reverb processor with additional parameters.
With its 9 synthesis models, the Cep A holds an uncomplicated entry into the Eurorack world, but can also bring new sonic adventures to existing modular cases.
The highlights are the eight-voice swarm oscillator, the analog multimode filter together with digital stereo emulation of two- or four-pole ladder filter, as well as VCA, LFO and envelope generator. In addition, the sound creations can be refined with an extensively equipped effects section, which provides sophisticated modulating stereo modulation effects such as tape delay, phaser, chorus and flanger. While the Cep A's semi-modular design allows it to produce sounds right out of the box, it can also be further enhanced sonically through its extensive patch options. The MIDI interface can be used to bring the paraphonic sound generation directly to life. A special digital bus for controlling the swarm oscillator allows additional sound layering in monophonic or chord mode.
The snapshot interpolator allows you to store snapshots of your sound creations in the internal memory. Of course, the interpolator can also be used as a "simple" preset memory to fill the Delta Cep A with sounds for live performances. With 23 knobs and 14 buttons, the unit offers enormous potential for sound exploration in the studio and on stage. With 14 inputs and 17 outputs, the Cep A can be connected to many other devices to function either as a solo synth or part of a Eurorack system.
With the firmware version 1.5, numerous improvements were made: Besides an additional reverb effect, the Delta Cep A now has the ability to process MIDI program change messages. Furthermore, LFO and envelopes can now be fed to multiple modulation destinations. In addition, LFO syncing has been reworked, the Mixer Mod Input has been brought to life, morphing has been expanded by 17 parameters, and the option of quickly resetting all modulation routings has been added.

Manual
Founded by Juergen Korduletsch in 1995 as a distribution company, Radikal Technologies started developing their own designs and by 2004 the mighty Spectralis Hybrid Synthesizer was released. Developer and product specialist Jörg Schaaf from Quasimidi joined Radikal as consultant and has been instrumental in the release of current modules and desktop synths, like the paraphonic Delta CEP.
