The most popular and well-known Soviet synthesizer is back in a reworked design: the Polivoks Pro! It is a duophonic, analog synthesizer manufactured in russia. The Polivoks has some features that are unusual on most analog mono synthesizers including a filter that can be switched from low pass to bandpass and two envelopes that can be looped over the AD sections. Enjoy the new aesthetics, with a clearly arranged control panel! The sound is raw and powerful!
The Polivoks (in Russian: Поливокс) is a duophonic, analog synthesizer manufactured in Russia. The original Polivoks was intended to appear and sound similar to famous American and Japanese synthesizers. The Polivoks was engineered by circuit designer Vladimir Kuzmin and went into production from 1982 to 1990. Due to its unique history and relative rarity, the Polivoks has become popular as much for its unique sounds as for its aesthetics.
The Polivoks has some features that are unusual on most analog mono synthesizers including a filter that can be switched from low pass to bandpass and two envelopes that can be looped over the AD sections.
The newly designed Polivoks Pro brings the same architecture as the original, with updated aesthetics.
It features two oscillators with triangle, saw, square and two different pulse settings. Both have a range switch with 5 octaves. They are mixed together in the mixer section with additional noise and a ring modulator.
The master section allows to switch the synth from monophonic to duophonic, to tune it and to add portamento.
The onboard LFO provides triangle, square, noise and sample and hold waveforms.
Thanks to MIDI and many control voltage inputs, the Polivoks can interface with your modular system and studio equipment.
