Inspired by retro video game consoles, Kiviak Instruments has created a unique cartridge system for their WoFi sampler. According to themselves, this supposedly allows for really fast and efficient data streaming - obviously a much appreciated feature in a modern sampler! Each cartridge can hold up to 100MB of Audio. Since the internal sample-engine of Wofi operates at 16-bit 48 kHz that roughly translates to 18 minutes of mono audio. Cartridges have always been cool and who doesn’t love fast memory?
