On 5 March,
we welcome Tubbutec to our showroom! Tobias Münzer – the mastermind behind
Tubbutec – will demonstrate how a compact yet extremely powerful Eurorack setup
can be achieved with just a few carefully selected modules.
The
workshop will focus on Brainstep: much more than a four-channel sequencer. The
module combines sequencing, envelopes and LFOs in a compact central unit. In
combination with just one additional VCO and a filter, it creates a complete,
expressive synthesiser system – ideal for live performances as well as
minimalist studio setups. The workshop demonstrates in a hands-on way how
modulation, timing and structure can be efficiently organised in a reduced
system.
In
addition, Drummertime will be presented – a TR-x0x-inspired drum step sequencer
in 1U format, which is particularly suitable for performative drum and hybrid
cases. (The coolest module of last year?) Large, precise buttons enable fast
programming with direct tactile feedback – a clear advantage in a live context.
The focus is on immediate usability and musical workflow.
This
workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to understand how to achieve a powerful,
portable and performance-oriented setup with a well-thought-out choice of
modules – without unnecessary complexity, but with maximum control.
