Back in stock: SND ACME-4 & Filterbank FB-14 – unmatched precision tools

After a long wait, we have finally secured a limited number of two very special devices from SND: the ACME-4 and FB-14 filter bank. The devices are new, in their original packaging and come directly from SND's inventory – possibly the last new devices that will be available for a long time.

SND has earned a reputation among discerning music makers for building high-quality devices that make no compromises. SND's technical approach favours function, precision and sonic clarity over superficial features. The devices are not designed at all to catch the eye – they are made for those who expect precision and professional control at the highest level.

The ACME-4 is widely regarded as the gold standard among master clocks. In both studio and live environments, it offers incredibly stable and precise timing, with individual outputs that can be shifted with high precision. The impact this feature has on the groove cannot be underestimated – you have to hear it to understand! The device integrates seamlessly into hybrid setups and offers rock-solid MIDI, DIN sync and analogue clock signals, all of which are programmable and controllable down to the smallest detail. Musicians who rely on precise synchronous setups often describe the ACME-4 as not only helpful, but indispensable.

In addition, the FB-14 filter bank stands as a symbol of what analogue signal processing can achieve when done correctly. With 14 fixed filter bands and an immense range of ±20 dB per band, it is capable of radically transforming any audio input signal while always maintaining a pleasant, musical character. This is thanks to the internal circuitry with specially manufactured coils.
