Die sechs Buchsen können je nach Bedarf unter den Modulen aufgeteilt werden. Das Modul ist komplett passiv und kann für Typ A oder Typ B 3,5 mm MIDI verdrahtet werden.
Tiny MIDI-Breakout kann auch mit Modulen anderer Hersteller verwendet werden, z.B. mit dem Michigan Synth Works F8R.
