Compact signal-combiner. OSD is an effective way to generate more complex and varied results from "simple" CVs. This module likes envelopes & LFOs, but can also be fed with audio signals
Audio signals, CVs, gates, sequences... can all be combined with the OSD, because the signal path is DC-coupled.
The module is built up of three slightly different blocks
Each block has three inputs A,B,C. For all three, C is always set to OR.
Block 1 has an additional crossfader to crossfade between A and B.
On Block 1 and 2 the inputs A and B can be switched between OR, SUM or DIF "mixing".
Block 3 features only OR channels.
OR, SUM and DIF... this sounds very technical at first:
OR means that only the higher of the two voltages is passed through.
SUM behaves like a mixer. The applied voltages are summed up.
While with DIF they are subtracted. More precisely: The smaller voltage from the larger one.
With little effort, very lively modulations can be created from up to three voltages per channel.
