Sawari is a maxed-out take on Music Thing Modular’s Microphonie and Mutable’s Ears, a dedicated EQ section, single outs and adjustable envelope follower.
Adding a 3-band EQ to the original preamp circuit was a great idea, adding single outs and an EQ boost button was an even better idea. This way you can not only shape your input signal precisely, but also process the three frequency bands individually.
In normal mode the EQ offers +/-6dB for its frequency range. For more creative potential Unkown Devices made the wise decision to add a button to boost each band up to 12dB. This way each band can be isolated and routed to various FX, feedback-loops or whatever you feel like.
The audio output stage features a diode clipping limiter, that can overdrive any instrument (or eurorack level sources as well) for some harsher, clipping tones.
You still have the inbuilt contact microphone under the panel from the original circuit and the envelope follower, that can be now controlled with the attack and release potentiometers on the panel. And you get the choice of placing the envelope follower pre or post EQ, selectable by a jumper on the back.
