Ult-Sound - DS-1

The analog drum voice of the ULT-SOUND DS-1 is based on a synthesizer rarity from the late 1970s in Japan.

The module adapts a voice from the rare ULT-SOUND DS-4 for the Eurorack format. Voltages and levels are adjusted to ensure that it fits seamlessly into your modular setup. The basic sound and functionality of the original have of course been retained. Versatile noise generator, an oscillator that also understands V/oct and all kinds of mixing and modulation - a complete package for analog drum synthesis. The same ingredients can be found elsewhere, but it's the way they are cooked that makes the difference and Japan is (not only) very special from a culinary point of view - they also make excellent synthesizers, it seems ;)
