Tiptop Audio - Fold Processor

Enhanced wave folder – TipTop Audio’s Fold is composed of a wave multiplier featuring a classic diode design as well as a sub octave generator. The first circuit adds odd harmonics to incoming audio material, while the second derives four square waves with a spacing of one octave each. The module’s results range, depending on its settings and the signals fed in, from soft coloration to harsh sound transformations and even heavily distorted chaos. CV inputs allow users to create very lively results.

Fold is equipped with two audio inputs, followed by the wave multiplier. Folding intensity and bias point can be adjusted via potentiometers plus there is a CV input with bipolar attenuator per parameter. Results are emitted via the Out connector. Furthermore, processed audio material is send to the sub octave generator. Here, incoming signals are squared and frequency divided. In detail, the sub octave generator features four channels with divisors of one, two, four and eight. Each path offers a potentiometer for volume control. Results can be tapped off the Subdiv output.
