Tiptop Audio - Echoz
- Order number: 190490
- Depth: 40
The Tiptop Audio Echoz is a digital delay module. It features 24 different types of delay effects ranging from classic time based effects to some more experimental ones. They are grouped in tape delays, digital delays and pitch shifted delays. The three banks are accessible from the buttons on the top. The DSP chip is driven by a voltage controlled analog clock generator for extra warmth and the ability to manipulate the effects beyond typical static delays.
Echoz from Tiptop Audio is a collection of 24 different types of delay effects.
The module offers mono input and stereo output.
The three buttons at the top of the module give you access to three banks of different effects types. Each bank contains 8 algorithms. The effects are a blend of newly developed programs and ones carefully selected from Tiptop’s library of hundreds of effects created over 10 years for the classic Z-DSP processor module.
The Tape bank features saturation with limiting which emulates vintage tape delays but goes even beyond the originals by cascading other effects in series such as chorus and wobbly LFO driven tape head movements.
The Digital bank starts with pristine clear digital delays, and then moves to BBD emulation, diffusions, multitaps and formant topologies.
The Pitch bank is a collection of pitch shifted delay trails with common interval structures, detuning and shimmering.

Originally based in California and now operating from Thailand, Tiptop has been around for over a decade, providing some of the first effects in eurorack (Z5000), a whole line of 808 and 909 drum modules, clever sequencers and affordable cases. Their Z-DSP is probably one of the best effect modules available, with countless exchangeable cards.
