Schlappi Engineering - BTMX

- Order number: 240259
Schlappi Engineering's latest creation: the BTMX (BitMix) is a versatile 4-channel mixer and combiner for logic signals (=everything roughly rectangular).
Introduced at Superbooth 2024, BTMX extends Schlappi's logic series in a very meaningful way. It combines logic functions with a stepped output to generate synchronized control voltage and modulation. BTMX can be used independently or in conjunction with NIBBLER or the BTFLD, which was also presented at Superbooth 24. This offers a range of possibilities for audio and modulation tasks.
The four different logic functions (AND, ADD, OR, XOR) each enable unique harmonic and rhythmic connections, e.g., for drums, tempo-synchronized modulations, and pseudo-random patterns. They can be fed by the Nibbler or any other, preferably rectangular waveform. The stepped output is a 4-bit DAC and represents the sum of the outputs.
The eight inputs with mute switches and the four gate outputs all have LEDs, keeping you always informed. Since it is compatible with both low-frequency and audio signals, it is a solid addition to your modulation and logic modules, as well as oscillators. It might also be suitable for video synthesis. Give it a try.
Features:
- 8 switched inputs
- 4 logic functions with two inputs each (AND, OR, ADD, XOR)
- 4 gate outputs
- 1 stepped output
- LED indicator for each input and output
- Works with LFO and audio rates

MANUAL
Schlappi Engineering's designs are the result of Eric Schlappi's personal experience playing and recording experimental electronic music extensively, mostly using monophonic synths and moving to modular systems since 2013.
