Random Source - Serge Dual Universal Slope Generator Mk2 (DSG)
- Order number: 180002
- Depth: 40
The DSG is one of the most versatile modules in the Serge system. – A dual function generator similar to the Make Noise Maths, but with a different feature set. The DSG’s stages can be used as voltage-controlled envelopes respectively LFOs, audio oscillators with variable waveform symmetry, envelope followers, filters or flexible utility circuits. – Just to name a few possibilities. Compared to the original, there is a new pulse output and the pitch tracking has been significantly improved.
Features:
- Separate VC inputs for Rise and Fall
- improved tracking (up to 4 octaves)
- Bipolar slope output
- End of cycle outputs
- Pulse out with 50% duty cycle in the top
- Uses selected audiophile parts for superior audio performance (up to >10kHz)
- DSG mk2 board in SMT, manufactured in Germany

Serge Dual Universal Slope Generator Mk2 (DSG) @Random Source
With the blessings from Serge Tcherepnin himself, Ralf Hoffmann of Random Source reissues the whole Serge modular catalog using quality components (Burr Brown op-amps) and modern standards (SMT) from his workshop in Frankfurt. R*S release all modules in both original 4U format using banana plugs as well as 3U eurorack versions sporting minijacks.
