Faktori represents a simplified synthesizer backend. Only one (or more) oscillators are necessary to build a whole voice with Faktori. Simplified because a VCA and one or two ADSR envelopes are omitted and instead only a single AD function generator can be found. In order to remain practical and easy to use for a small setup, this is a module limited to the most necessary functions- all of which are very well executed. The Steiner-Parker style filter adds a good dose of charm to less sparkling oscillators, and the Serge-like function generator can be used in a variety of ways, for example to modulate the filter in audio rate or as a portamento for incoming voltages. The mixer also offers a bit more than just summing: Inputs 1 and 5 are high-gain inputs and inputs 2-4 are low-gain inputs. In addition, an internally generated noise signal is present on channel 5 when no patch cable is plugged into the jack.
