Boubou consists of five analog filter-based drum voices for generating kicks, snares, toms, rimshots and hihats. The module is roughly divided into four sections:
Kick - with AD envelope, click generator and overdrive.
Toms - with variable retrigger for generating flams and complex sequences (with different gate lengths at the trigger input)
Snare - with noise generator and bandpass filter with voltage controlled resonance
Hats - with noise generator and hi-pass filter and input for external audio signals
