The Pittsburgh Modular Oscillator does exactly what it says on the faceplate: is is a classic analog VCO. It has a wide frequency range and thus can be used as a voltage controlled LFO as well.
Classic analog VCO with the four standard waveforms sine, triangle, sawtooth and square. Additional features are sync (Pittsburgh call it reset), manual / voltage controlled pulse width modulation and linear frequency modulation.
The oscillator has a wide frequency range, starting at seven cycles per second. For that reason you can uns the module very well as a LFO. The coarse and fine tune controls allow for an exact tuning of the oscillator.
The module offers 1V/octave tracking over five octaves which is quite proper for an analog VCO.
