The Modulator by Pittsburgh Modular is a ring modulator with three operational modes.

The X and Y inputs have attenuators. The MIX control mixes the output with the X signal.

Three operational modes are available:

1. classic ring modulator which outputs the sum and difference of X and Y signals.
2. ring mod with "floating Z"-voltage. Outputs sum and difference of X and Y signals mixed with the ambient voltage within the circuit.
3. linear amplitude modualtor: Outputs sum and difference of X and Y signals mixed with the carrier i.e the Y input signal
