Pittsburgh’s Lifeforms Dual VCA contains two amplifier circuits with linear characteristic. They can be used independently or in conjunction. Thanks to a mix output, it is also possible to employ the module as a summing circuit. The VCAs are suitable for control voltages as well as audio material.
Each VCA is equipped with an input, a CV channel plus attenuator, a potentiometer for adjusting the level manually and an output. Additionally, there is a mix connector. It allows the user to employ the module as a mixer. The CV inputs are normalized. Therefore, besides working with two separate mono signals, it is also possible to process stereo material with the VCAs.
