Operat is basically a complex oscillator that is missing the modulating second oscillator core - add any other VCO you have laying around and you have a great and complete complex oscillator.
Operat offers four different waveforms with Thru-zero FM/PM plus symmetry control over the modulation. For a VCO, it has an unusual internal mixer with built-in VCAs for each waveform, controlled by the four handy faders. The feature list goes on with Amplitude/Ring modulation after the mixer circuit and a Hard/Soft sync input. You also get PWM with 3 different configurations that all sound very different and expand the sound palette of this module even more. All this makes the Operat a very versatile module for all sorts of FM-madness.
