We will not be getting this unit anymore because OD has stopped reselling to dealers. Please buy directly.
The ER-102 expands the already vast number of possibilites of the ER-101 sequencer by awesome functions. Within one snapshot you can now generate parts and recall these via CVs, also you can generate groups of steps that can be transformed and modulated. The recording function e.g. allows for real-time recording and overdubs. Storage and firmware updates vie memory cards is possible as well.
Nostalgia version with white print on dark grey powder coated faceplate.
Parts allows for programming up to 99 new loop and reset-points within one snapshot. Via the Select CV input and the Activate gate input parts can be recalled in an automatized way. Transition from part to part is selectable in three stages, e.g. whether the next part is played immediately after selecting the next one or only after the current part has been finished.
Groups: Arbitrary steps of a snapshot can be merged into a group and modified together with CVs and gates. this way you can add fixed values (= transposition) or constantly chanigng CVs (= modulations) to these steps. The behavoiur of the group modifications depends on which CV/gate pair is read out (X, Y or Z) and whether the modification is triggered off by an high gate, low gate or a CV. See video. 16 groups per snapshot are possible.
Recording sequences is possible in Record mode, be it step by step or in real time with overdub function.
- alter: overdub mode, which allows for recording over existing sequences.
- step: step by step recording. CV values, gate length and step duration are determined with CVs, "Insert" and "Delete" with gates.
- realtime: CVs and gates can be recorded in real time. Quantization of CVs and gare lenghs is possible. The recording can be edited and corrected like any sequence.
