Noise Lab's Meander - Dual LFO with Eight Ways to Modulate
Noise Lab's Meander packs two voltage-controlled LFOs into a a rather slim 8HP module. Each LFO drives four distinct waveform outputs, creating a versatile modulation toolkit of eight waves total.
LFO 1 delivers sine, inverted sine, square, and triangle waves, while LFO 2 generates sample & hold/random, triangle, sawtooth, and ramp. Both LFOs include CV inputs for external frequency control, with dedicated level controls for fine-tuning modulation depths.
A three-position range switch provides extensive timing flexibility. The LOW range is able to creates ultra-slow cycles from 4.4 minutes to 22Hz, MEDIUM spans 40 seconds to 90Hz, while HIGH reaches from 26 seconds up to 270Hz. The link switch allows LFO 2 to follow either LFO 1's sine wave or its CV input.
The sample & hold section offers three modes: sampling LFO 1's sine wave, generating random patterns through an internal noise source, or processing external CV. LFO 2's rate determines the sampling speed, adding another layer of rhythmic control. Despite being called Meander, this module offers quite a focused and purposeful set of modulation tools.
