Imitor Versio is an experimental delay module with extremely versatile functions, very clear user interface and all in stereo
Imitor Versio is a 12-tap delay. Most parameters refer to the rhythmic and spatial distribution of the taps. Skew controls whether the spacing between taps increases or decreases over time. Angle controls the distribution of the taps in the stereo field. Time and Spread refer to the use and total length of the delay. Spread controls the divider/multplicator of the incoming clock at the Tap input. But there are also very interesting possibilities to intervene on the dynamic events. For example, the >/=/<-switch causes decrescendo, crescendo or constant volume of the repetitions and the Regen knob causes a ducking of the reverb tail at full scale. Another switch can be used to radically change the feedback behavior. This makes it very easy to create clean, distorted and shimmering delays. The LFO is permanently routed to a bandpass filter and modulates its band frequency. If the LFO knob is centered, the LFO is inactive. Turned to the left, random modulation increases in intensity and speed, turned to the right, the same effect occurs with a triangle waveform. What used to require all kinds of VCAs, envelopes and modulation sources can now be achieved with just one module.
Desmodus Versio and Imitor Versio are based on the same hardware. This means that the firmwares of both modules can be installed on the other module.
