MFB - 24dB VCF-SSI
- Order number: 180383
- Depth: 40
The 24dB VCF SSI is an analog 4 pole low-pass circuit based on the SSI 2144. The chip is a redesign of the SSM2044, a legendary filter component to which lots of classic synthesizers owe their distinctive sound. In addition to a low-pass output with an edge steepness of -24 dB per octave, the module also emits low-pass or band-pass signals with a slope of -12 dB per octave. On the input side, there are two audio paths. One of them features an attenuator. Cutoff and resonance parameters are both voltage controllable.
The 24dB VCF SSI is an analog low-pass cascade circuit based on the SSI 2144 filter chip. The module comes equipped with two audio inputs. One channel can be adjusted in volume. On the output side, there are two audio connectors as well. They provide the following filter types:
- Low-pass with an edge steepness of -24 dB per octave.
- Low-pass or band-pass characteristic with an edge steepness of -12 dB per octave. The mode of operation can be chosen via the module’s Select button.
Cutoff and resonance can be controlled manually using potentiometers. In addition, both parameters feature a CV input with attenuator.
