Product description
W/ is an extremely compact sampler module based on analog tape machines. It holds up to eight hours of audio material. Recordings can be played back with fixed or variable speed. – Forwards or backwards, as desired. Multiple loops are combinable
Cue points make it possible to jump to previously defined areas in a recording. Thanks to 1v / octave and trigger functions, you can also use W/ as a tonally playable sampler or multi drum source. – We’ll tell you more about the module as soon as we have it in store.
Considered as a traditional tape system, W/'s sounds can be played forward and back at variable speeds and layered.
THIS and THAT respond to the scene, controlling speed and cue-selection, recording states & tapehead manipulations.
W/ is i2c enabled. Control W/ with monome’s Teletype, and soon allow a small set of W/s to converse among themselves, among themselves
