Majella - Implexus
- Order number: 210119
The impressive, analog Implexus synthesizer from Majella combines the West Coast sound with rhythmic modulation and a well-arranged interface.
Implexus is a truly elegant synthesizer. Beautiful wooden sides enclose a nicely structured interface with one button per function(!). The sound generation is clearly inspired by Buchla's instruments: A Complex Oscillator with FM and AM, Waveshaper and -Folder. Majella extends this already powerful feature set with east coast filters, a stereo delay and two freely assignable and clock-synced LFOs. Assigning a modulation to a parameter is done very intuitively using clearly labeled pots and switches. Together with the two full ADSR envelopes, there is really nothing left to be desired.
Harmonics are added to Implexus' intricate FM/AM waveforms by the rhythmic LFOs. The LFOs run in sync with the rhythm of the clock dividers. Yes, each of the two LFOs and also the delay has its own clock divider. One of the two envelopes has a loop mode and the other has a drone mode. Highly complex sounds, with always new and exciting modulations, are achieved very well and the MIDI and CV connectivity let you easily integrate Implexus into any setup.
