LZX - Swatch

LZX Swatch is a RGB-YIQ and YIQ-RGB color space converter.
Swatch is the typical wolf in sheep's clothing. On paper, a fixed color space bidirectional converter sounds rather unspectacular, but the modular context of this feature opens up exciting use cases. Swatch is designed to connect RGB signals to parts of your system that deal with 2D vector processing (for chroma processing) and waveshaping (for luma processing). However, the interface has a high "hackability" with the help of some patching tricks.
Features:
- RGB-YIQ/YIQ-RGB color space converter
- LZX Gen3 design standards
- Easily adjusts luma and chroma values
- Active switching and gain control of the entire signal path
- Ideal for saturation effects
- Powered via 12V DC barrel or EuroRack power header
- Integrated, ultra-low noise power supplies
- Durable pots, jacks and mechanical switches

Lars Larsen and Ed Leckie met each other in the synth DIY scene in 2008 and collaborated with the idea to release an affordable yet powerful modular video synthesizer. In 2015, they moved to Portland and by now they have the most extensive catalogue of video synthesis modules available. In case you are wondering, in their own words: "LZX is not an acronym. It is an alphabetical sequence with aesthetic merit."
