Ideal for triggering events, modifying waveforms and creating level-dependent logic, the module features two independent comparators. The first section allows the comparison of voltage against voltage with an adjustable offset, while the second section compares the voltage against a manual threshold. What does this mean? It means that if the voltage to be compared falls within the set range, ComPair outputs a logical ‘High’ (a gate signal). Otherwise, it outputs a logic ‘low’, i.e. no gate signal.
When used together, ComPair acts as a powerful window comparator with CV-controlled upper threshold adjustment. The outputs have three switches with three positions for independent polarity and muting, while three LEDs provide real-time logic feedback. Perfect for dynamic patching, logic processing and waveform manipulation, the ComPair is perhaps an unusual but certainly a flexible tool for expanding your modular setup.
Features:
- Two independent channels, A & B, also useable globally as a window comparator
- Normalized input A copies the signal into input B for window comparison
- Hi and Lo bipolar threshold adjustment knobs
- Hi input adds to the Hi setting knob
- Separate outputs for: Above Hi setting, between Hi and Lo settings, below Lo setting
- 3-position switch on each output offers: Inverted logic, Output mute, Normal logic
