Joranalogue and Hainbach have combined their expertise and creative energy to present something extraordinary - Collide4 - a lock-in amplifier in Eurorack format!

The wonder that is the Collide4 is a conversion of this 20+ kg test equipment, once reserved for research labs, into a 20HP Eurorack module.

The C4 offers a wealth of tools for exploring unique sounds and combines a variety of high-quality features. It includes a pingable variable bandwidth filter capable of self-oscillation, gain stages before and after the filter, and a sine/cosine quadrature oscillator with through-zero functionality. In addition, a Hilbert transformer for frequency shifting, two ring modulators with output low-pass filters and a highly flexible signal output section for complex signal processing are integrated.

The fully analogue Collide4 is a faithful extension of the lock-in amplifier family, a concept originally used in nuclear physics research. The module is not a direct replica of the old circuits, but has been designed with musicality in mind and benefits from Hainbach's experience in using test equipment for music production. The module takes the raw power of these scientific instruments and adapts them for use in modern Eurorack setups. It offers full voltage control at a fraction of the size and weight of the original devices.
