Generate 3 combines some of the most versatile functions. Packed with PM, Thru-Zero-AM, Thru-Zero-FM, as well as 5 audio outputs with different harmonies, there is really everything an analog oscillator can do.
Joranalogue modules are always of the highest quality and impress with their clever designs and great functions. Generate 3 is no different and is one of those modules that you will keep for a long time.

Generate 3 is an oscillator module with a total of 5 audio outputs. The core of the oscillator is a triangle and can be tapped at the core output. Fundamental is a sine wave one octave higher and Even is a sawtooth wave two octaves higher. Odd is again an octave higher than Core, but outputs an interesting wave that is reminiscent of waveshaping. Full outputs the entirety of Fundamental, Even and Odd and allows you to go far beyond the classic waveforms by mixing the different waves.
You can mix the waves via the internal VCAs, which you can open and close via potentiometers or control voltage. A very interesting feature here is the option of inverting the wave with negative settings, which gives you ring modulation.

Generate 3 also has an FM input that allows thru-zero modulation. The results are very different from traditional FM, but if you prefer not to go through zero you can use the bias switch to boost the voltages by 5V, which will result in normal linear FM. Of course, exponential FM is also possible with its own CV input (EFM). Handy: The AC switch removes all sub-audio signals at the Thru-Zero input, allowing you to prevent pitch drift.

Finally, Generate 3 also has phase modulation (PM). Often confused with FM, PM gives similarly complex sounds but prevents unwanted pitch changes. A great function that is rarely found in oscillators! PM, AM and FM combined allow for wild and very complex sounds and if you patch Generate 3 into itself, you can create exciting feedback. Joranalog have thought about this and the modulation of the phase does not affect the core output!

Fat basses, complex percussion, wild feedback, noise and wafting drones are all no problem for Generate 3 - a real all-rounder that never fails to impress us!
