Intellijel SVF 1 U is a slim, analog SVF multimode filter.
First popularized by Tom Oberheim, the SVF filter design evolved into a modern classic. The sound of the SVF 1 U sound is precise and clean, yet powerful. It can be switched between bandpass and notch characteristics, and in addition to these two output options, it also offers individual taps of the respective 2-pole lowpass and highpass filters. On the input side, the signal can be amplified by +6 dB and distort nicely thanks to the asymmetrical clipping circuit. Pitch (tracks precisely over 4 octaves) and an FM CV input (with attenuator) are available as modulation inputs. In the self-oscillation state, the filter can generate sine waves from 2 Hz to 20 KhZ with very low distortion.
Features:
- SVF filter in 1U
- Dedicated outputs for lowpass/highpass or bandpass/notch (switchable)
- Input gain of up to +6dB with asymmetrical clipping
- Pitch input (tracks precisely over 4 octaves)
- FM CV input with attenuator

Danjel van Tijn started in eurorack with the Mind Meld, an expander for the Livewire Vulcan Modulator. Seeing the potential of eurorack, Danjiel quit his day job at a big corporation and founded Intellijel, which rapidly become a mainstay in the modular, with collaborations with Canadian fellow engineers such as: Cylonix, David G. Nixon or AAS (known for their physical modelling plug-ins). By now Intellijel has one of the most extensive catalogs in eurorack.
