The Intellijel Quadrax is a CV controllable quad function generator with burst mode. The envelopes all feature a continuously variable response curve, and each stage can range from 0,3 to 20 seconds. Channels can be chained together to create complex multi-stage envelopes. LFOs can be either free-running or beat-synchronized using the channel’s trigger input. Furthermore four freely-assignable CV inputs are capable of modulating any or all of the various parameters across all four channels using the built-in CV matrix.
The Intellijel Quadrax consists of four independent, CV-controllable channels, each of which can be configured to perform any one of the following functions:
- an AD (Attack, Decay) envelope
- an AHR (Attack, Hold, Release) envelope
- a cycling envelope (resulting in a unipolar LFO)
- a pulse burst generator (Finite repeated functions that ascend or descend in amplitude)
- a morphing, bipolar beat syncable LFO

Quadrax @Intellijel
Danjel van Tijn started in eurorack with the Mind Meld, an expander for the Livewire Vulcan Modulator. Seeing the potential of eurorack, Danjiel quit his day job at a big corporation and founded Intellijel, which rapidly become a mainstay in the modular, with collaborations with Canadian fellow engineers such as: Cylonix, David G. Nixon or AAS (known for their physical modelling plug-ins). By now Intellijel has one of the most extensive catalogs in eurorack.
