The Bree6 from GS Music delivers full polyphonic analog goodness in a compact desktop format.
Bree6 is the second synthesizer from the synthesizer artists at GS Music. The larger g7 is already one of our favorites, and Bree6 is no different. As a small desktop device, it provides 6-fold polyphony with an oscillator plus sub-oscillator, a mixer, ladder filter and VCA, as well as an LFO, two envelopes and effects!
With its signal path, Bree6 fully embodies the classic analog synthesizer structure. VCOs run into a mixer, then into a filter, followed by a VCA and effects. True to this setup, Bree6 delivers everything one would expect - warm and floating pads, punchy chords, and enchanting melodies in unison mode! Thanks to MPE, however, it is fully in tune with modern needs, allowing for expressive playing. The Poly Stereo mode is another highlight, spatially distributing individual voices across the stereo field.
The layout of Bree6 is wonderfully simple. There are no menus, and the display serves only as a helpful addition. All knobs are large, satisfying to touch, and intuitively arranged. Overall, a well-rounded package with a strong focus on clarity and quality.
