Aloysius by Expert Sleepers is a rather unusual AHDW (Attack/Hold/Decay/Wait) envelope and modulation signal generator.
Aloysius is inspired by a classic envelope design found in the famous EMS Synthi, sometimes referred to as a trapezoid generator. Looking at the module, you can guess where the name comes from. When attack and decay are linear, you generate signals that look like a trapezoid.
Fortunately, you can shape the attack and decay parts from logarithmic to exponential, which already makes this module very flexible. The last part of the generated signal is the wait stage, which is especially useful in LFO mode (auto trigger).
All stages are CV controllable and each stage has an LED that is active as long as the generated envelope is in that stage. Additionally there are switches for different time ranges.
- Envelope generator (trapezoid) with LFO mode (auto trigger)
- Attack and decay shapes adjustable
- Classic design, EMS synth inspired
- CV controllable

Andrew Ostler (aka Oz) has gained a well-earned reputation not only with his do-it-all Disting module, but by providing a range of CV and audio signal converters that allow computers talk fluently to modulars, and vice versa.
