Quantizers & Harmony Processors

Quantizers force a CV voltage into a scaled grid. For example, a smooth sine wave of an LFO becomes a step voltage. The main application of quantizers, however, is the generation of harmonically correct voltages for oscillators. This makes it easy to play precisely tuned tone sequences. It makes sense to use a quantizer behind a sequencer, as its controls often only allow inaccurate settings. Chord generators have several outputs and add the appropriate intervals to a quantized basic voltage, so that an automatic chord can be played over several VCOs.
