With fuzz, overdrive and distortion in parallel configuration, you actually get three pedals in one with this compact device, which is also very clearly designed.
The layout of the fully analog pedal is straightforward. The gain pot controls the amount of distortion, while the volume knob determines how much of the effect from each characteristic arrives at the output. All three effect types also have an independent low-pass/high-pass filter, which helps to shape individual sound characteristics.
The distortion section also has a three-positionswitch control that adds light "bite," medium "sizzle," or heavy "eleven" and provides natural compression behavior like hi-gain amps at hot levels.Before the output, a three-band EQ (low/high shelf or bell EQ for the mids) provides the finishing touches. This very sophisticated tone control makes it possible, for example, to finetune the distortion in such a way that a distorted high-end can be achieved without the loss of punch in the bass range. The Select switch can be used to switch the individual distortion types on or off in two configurations.
